Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969)
Given more respect than it has coming, this is not a great film – its good, but not great. Paul Newman and Robert Redford make for charismatic leads but William Goldman’s meandering script loses its focus too often. Instead of remaining on track, the narrative branches off into a inorganic love story and other distractions. There are some great scenes, but these don’t equal a great movie.
