THE CARNIVAL OF CINEMA – EPISODE III: THE RETURN OF THE BLOGGER

Here is the third installment in our The Carnival Trilogy. Unlike some people, our trilogy isn’t going to lose steam and rely on a sophomoric subplot involving Ewoks. We're more Lord of The Rings than The Matrix films. We’re getting stronger with each outing.

We’re just getting started and have plenty left to say.

Now, let’s take the rest of the day off.

The Little Orange Fox from THE OUTLAW REPUBLICAN offers a look at the 80’s classic comedy Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Bueller? Bueller? Leighton Meester?

Where most people are asking who is Leighton Meester? DARKMATTERS’ Matt Adcock asks how cute is Leighton Meester?

Matt has eyes of Leighton Messter. These guys just have eye for her.

The Cylons of Battlestar Galactica are actually Christian symbols who also promote American values. Check out JON SWIFT’S post to find out more. Yeah, yeah this isn't film, its TV. We made an exception.

Let’s move from the guys with one eye to the guy who’s just one big monstrous eye

That’ll be Sauron, by the way.

Take a gander of a Tolkien geek’s view of the world. Bill Losapio of LWILLIAMLOSAPIO.COM explains how Tolkien has effected him and reflects on Peter Jackson’s accomplishment.

Tolkien spoke of good versus evil, so does Paul Greengrass.

United 93 is a powerful film worthy of your attention. Paul McElligott gives the hyper realistic piece a chance over at CELLULOID HEROES.

Remember back in the good ol’ days when we just had to worry about global thermonuclear war?

Prasad V of SCREENART provides a thoughtful review of Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!"

Why can’t we all just get along?

What are the most romantic films of all time?
Ask Matt of ROMANTIC TIPS FOR MARRIED COUPLES, he’s got the list.

Don’t like romance? Then try some classic films on for size.

Kristi lists her favorite films from the 1940’s over at HERE IN IDAHO. It’s a good list, give it a look.

Don’t like classics? Geez, what do you like then? Fine, let’s settle back and see what’s coming off the Hollywood conveyor belt.

H. A. Calles runs a great site called ILLUSTRATED MOVIE REVIEW BLOG and said site has a review of the latest Michael Douglas release THE SENTINEL.

Sick of romance? Sick of classics and modern Hollywood? Then let’s serve up some Kollywood!

FilmNewsAnandhi of DESIBIOSCOPE - TAMIL MOVIE REVIEW SITE reviews, obviously, Tamil films. These are from the coastal city Chennai located in Southeastern India.

Kollywood? Hollywood? Martywood!

Martin Scorsese keeps it all in NYC. Reese Wallace gives Scorsese's film THE DEPARTED a review at 2 MINUTE MOVIE REVIEWS.

I have an irrational fear of not having a cute transition line between post submissions.

Morgen Jahnke of SENSELIST lays out the 29 Phobias Associated with the 10 Highest Grossing Films of October 6–October 8, 2006.

If you're looking for the 30th phobia associated with the 11th high grossing film on October 9th, you're on your own.

How about a rational fear?

Hide your step daughters, Woody Allen is here.

ANONYMOUSX has a brief review of Allen’s recent release SCOOP.

…and CUT!…and PRINT!

Thanks to everyone for their submissions! THE CARNIVAL OF CINEMA is ongoing with submissions being taken through each Wednesday and posting every Friday.

Do you have an opinion or article about the film industry? Have you reviewed a film or DVD? Have any tips on breaking into the biz? Send submissions HERE!
