FAHRENHEIT 9/11 (2004)

SHORT REVIEW: You're guilty and I have the accusations to prove it!

What can I say that hasn't already been said? This film didn't effect the election as Michael Moore would have liked. This film isn't as good as its supporters want it to be. Its ability to define those you watch it makes it valuable however. This is clearly the most dividing film ever made. Each viewer is summed up by their reaction to watching it.

This is not a documentary since it (as all of Moore's other works) has been proven to be factual...well...liberal. Facts are sticky things but if one is determined you can wash them away with enough bile. I cannot tell someone not to watch this film. It is interesting and it does have its historical place. That said, I cannot abide by someone pretending this thing is factual and should be taken seriously. You have to want to have the accusations in this film to be true to even think of taking them without rolling your eyes.

My Geddy Lee loving brother-in-law pointed out one thing I hadn'’t noticed before. When Moore shows a distraught Iraqi mother crying over the death of members of her family, she keeps screaming out to Allah. The subtitles replace the word Allah with "God". This is incorrect. The translations for Allah is "Allah". Allah is not God. That is to say, his name is not God …its Allah. If she was screaming out to God she would be calling on Yahweh. Even in his subtitles he can'’t tell the truth.

I appreciate he dropped his sleeve of powdered doughnuts long enough to give us this blazing gem of enlightenment. Its good to see what the other end of the Bell Curve is up to.

I almost could finish the film. Seeing Moore freaked me out. I could swear he'’s the guy I fired from that temp job back in '’93 for farting too much in the break room.

I can definitely learn a thing or two from you from points of view. What does it take for me to become an opinionated person with views like yours?

Hey Scott,

You're going to need to write a better review than this to be convincing. Moore unfortunately doesn't always present his material properly, but his main messages still stand strong.
